…...reaching the harvest, One Life at a Time.
Pastors Paul and Paula Lett, with Ashlyn, Addison, and Austen, Welcome you to Harvest Center!
A word from the Pastor:
"Say not ye, There are yet four months and then cometh harvest? Behold I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." John 4:35
In 1920, Dora Lee Barber purchased a parcel of land from John Wright for $91.00. A shed was built and services were held on the spot of ground where the church now stands. Although services were discontinued for a while after her death, her vision to reach the harvest of Pell City, St. Clair County, and the surrounding area lives on.
The goal of our church is to live up to our name and be the Harvest Center that God has called us to be. We hope to accomplish this through our mission: to win the lost to Jesus Christ, disciple believers by the Word of God, lead believers into an exciting worship experience, create an atmosphere of family-
Harvest Center has been no exception to facing the storms that churches often encounter. The church has been through a tremendous time of healing and a time of growth spiritually, financially, and numerically. As pastor, I feel that we have been able to weather the storms and see the growth that has taken place because of trying to keep the proper priorities in the church.
Our focus is to EXALT God in our worship. There is truly an excitement in our services as our musicians, praise team, Interpretive Worship team, and the Sounds of Harvest Choir, lead us in giving praise to our King. The liberty and spontaneity of worship has been compared to that taking place in great revival moves around the world.
Secondly, our desire is to EVANGELIZE, bringing people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We not only want to do that within the confines of our sanctuary, but also through jail ministry, nursing home services, children's ministry, visitation programs, Servant Evangelism, and missions efforts.
Thirdly, we strive to EDIFY new believers by helping them mature in their faith. We trust that through times of fellowship, intercessory prayer, and Bible-
Finally, our goal is to EXTEND, reaching out into the community to meet the physical, spiritual, relational, and emotional needs. The Lord has called us to be His extensions. He has no voice but our voice, no hands but our hands, and no feet but our feet.
As fresh revival fires continue to burn and God continues to pour out His Spirit upon us, we are expecting the days ahead to be the greatest we have ever seen. Come celebrate Jesus with us as we continue to reap the Harvest.
